Who We Are

umc.jpgLight of the Canyon United Methodist Church occupies a very unique place in the spiritual landscape of Orange County. Much prayer has gone into discerning where God is leading us as a community. We are one of a growing number of churches that occupy the “extreme center” of Christian life.  This is not a new idea. In fact, John Wesley, the founder of the Methodist tradition, was an advocate of a faith that was characterized by “love of God and love of neighbor.” It is our sincere belief that we are made new through the grace of God in Jesus Christ. But, because we have been made new, we are also called to reflect God’s love beyond the walls of our church to the world outside. Our life together is guided by the following principles.

Our Prayer

To discover the unconditional love of Jesus Christ and to shine His light to the community and beyond.

Our Purpose

To be a welcoming community of faith where spiritual seekers become loving, serving followers of Jesus Christ.

Our Path

A missional approach to ministry. That is…
Ministry focused on children and families
Worship that is relevant and meaningful
Spiritual growth through “intentional discipleship”
Offering comfort to those who suffer
Occupy the extreme center of Christian life

Grace and love above all things.
